Rural properties outside municipal service are on private wells. Hardness varies with the source, so we test at your tap rather than assume. On the day, expect the water off during the install, a bypass and shut-offs on the main, the drain run with an air gap, the unit programmed and put through a manual regeneration, and a hardness test at the tap before we leave.
